Consultant Ophthalmologist

An opportunity is available for a Cataract Surgeon to join a dedicated eye specialty hospital with an established range of ophthalmic services. The position is focused on independent cataract surgery, with particular emphasis on candidates who are proficient in performing relevant procedures.

Department Overview

The eye hospital provides specialized services across Cataract, Retina, Cornea, Oculoplasty, and Glaucoma, supporting comprehensive evaluation and treatment across a broad range of eye conditions.

Cataract surgery forms a significant part of the hospital’s clinical services, making this role central to the department’s day-to-day surgical caseload.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage patients presenting with a range of ophthalmic conditions
• Independently perform ophthalmic surgeries and related procedures
• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and prescribe corrective lenses as required
• Liaise with optometrists and fellow specialists to coordinate patient care
• Oversee post-operative follow-up and monitor patient recovery
