Consultant Neurosurgeon

A fresher Consultant Neurosurgeon is required to join the running neurosurgery department of a large multi-specialty hospital in Bathinda, Punjab. The position involves regular clinical duties along with emergency coverage, providing an opportunity to develop surgical practice within an established specialist team.

Hospital Infrastructure

The 350-bed hospital provides a broad range of tertiary healthcare services, with departments including Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Gastro Surgery, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, and Radiology. Its infrastructure includes CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, eight modular operation theatres, and 28 dialysis machines, along with an approved kidney transplant programme.

Neurosurgical Duties

• Diagnose and surgically treat disorders of the brain, spine, and nervous system
• Perform procedures including tumor excision, spinal surgeries, and trauma care
• Provide post-operative and rehabilitative care to neurosurgical patients
• Collaborate with neurologists, radiologists, and ICU teams for integrated care
• Participate in emergency neurosurgical interventions and trauma management
