Consultant Neurosurgeon

The position is for a fresher Consultant Neurosurgeon within a running neurosurgery department at a multi-specialty hospital. The role includes routine clinical work, participation in emergency cases, and coordination with the medical team during patient management.

The 350-bed hospital provides a broad range of tertiary healthcare services, with departments including Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Gastro Surgery, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, and Radiology. Its infrastructure includes CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, eight modular operation theatres, and 28 dialysis machines, along with an approved kidney transplant programme.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Assess patients presenting with neurosurgical conditions and determine appropriate management.
• Undertake relevant neurosurgical procedures according to the clinical requirements of each case.
• Monitor patients following surgical intervention and document their clinical progress.
• Coordinate investigations, treatment decisions, and patient care with the relevant medical teams.
• Attend emergency neurosurgical cases and provide appropriate clinical management.
