Consultant Cardiologist

A full-time opportunity is available for a Consultant Cardiologist at a multi-specialty hospital in Durgapur, West Bengal. The position is suited to a DM Cardiology-qualified specialist who can manage outpatient and inpatient cardiac cases while contributing to the hospital’s interventional cardiology services.

Clinical Services & Setup

The hospital is a 186-bedded multi-specialty facility in Durgapur with NABH accreditation and empanelments including ECHS and multiple TPAs. The centre provides services across various specialties and has a dedicated cardiac setup with a state of the art Cath Lab supporting regular and advanced cardiology procedures and patient management.

Specialist Responsibilities

• Provide cardiology consultations across outpatient and inpatient services, managing patients through different stages of cardiac care.
• Undertake and interpret ECG, echocardiography, TMT and other appropriate non-invasive cardiac investigations.
• Participate in interventional cardiac procedures through the hospital’s dedicated Cath Lab, based on clinical experience and assigned responsibilities.
• Manage patients with common and complex cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension and cardiac rhythm disorders.
• Provide specialist assessment for urgent and emergency cardiac cases and determine appropriate treatment or intervention.
• Work closely with cardiac surgeons and other medical specialists to support coordinated management of patients requiring multidisciplinary care.
