The role carries responsibility for routine consultations as well as cases requiring closer clinical supervision, with the selected doctor becoming part of the hospital’s ongoing specialist care for kidney-related conditions.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Conduct specialist consultations for patients presenting with acute and chronic renal disorders.
• Assess changes in renal function and determine appropriate clinical interventions according to the patient’s condition.
• Supervise patients requiring renal replacement support and respond to complications arising during their care.
• Evaluate associated problems such as fluid imbalance, electrolyte abnormalities, and difficult-to-control blood pressure.
• Review patients requiring continued nephrology follow-up and modify their management when clinically indicated.
• Maintain appropriate communication with referring teams regarding renal findings and recommendations.
