Consultant Neurologist

A priority opening is available for a Consultant Neurologist in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The position is intended for an experienced specialist who can manage routine neurological consultations as well as emergency cases within an established multi-specialty setup.

Neurology Department

The hospital runs dedicated Neurology and Neurosurgery departments, alongside General Medicine, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, and Gastroenterology. Neuro services offered include treatment for brain and spine tumours, endoscopic procedures, skull base surgery, epilepsy surgery, and spine instrumentation.

These neuro services are handled across both the Neurology and Neurosurgery departments, with cases distributed according to whether they require surgical or non-surgical management.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Diagnose neurological conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis
• Order and interpret neurodiagnostic tests, including EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies
• Work with neurosurgeons, physiatrists, and ICU staff on shared patient cases
• Set treatment plans based on each patient’s diagnosis and adjust them as the case progresses
• Continue care and monitoring for patients with long-term neurological conditions
